Another new release from Oscar a Pinot harvested from both Macclesfield and Monbulk fields. Both on volcanic red soil. The MV6 clone of Pinot, unlike the gamey, meaty Pommard clone it shows more elegance, complexity and a dried fruit, herbs and spice kind of palate. Will benefit from a few years in the cellar. Destemmed, wildly fermented and plunged daily for almost 3 weeks. Wine then went into a combination of old puncheon and barriques for 9 months with malo occurring after spring.
